About Me

I have always had a soft spot for wide-open spaces, country communities and the lives that unfold beyond the city limits.

Born and raised in New Zealand, some of my happiest childhood memories were made on my family’s sheep and cattle farm. It was there, surrounded by animals, rolling paddocks and the rhythms of rural life, that my lifelong love of the countryside began.

Although I dreamed of becoming a writer from an early age, life took me in other directions. After settling in Queensland, work, travel and raising a family, filled the years that followed. It wasn’t until retirement that I found the opportunity to turn my lifelong dream into reality.

Now the author of seventeen rural fiction novels set across Australia, New Zealand and Scotland, I draw inspiration from the landscapes I love and the farming communities I know so well. My stories celebrate country life, enduring friendships, family secrets, new beginnings—and, of course, the possibility of finding love when it’s least expected.

When I'm not writing about life beyond the city limits, I enjoy gardening, bushwalking and spending time with my family.
